Bagpipes in and Around the Charleston Area

 
 

Playing Experience

Kyle has been playing the bagpipes for almost ten years.  Currently, he is playing with the Charleston Police Pipes & Drums in the Grade 3 Competition Band.  Kyle began to learn to play the bagpipes by teaching himself in his Senior year in High School.  His piping career really took off at The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, where he was in the Regimental Band and Pipes and held positions as Pipe Sergeant and Pipe Major within the Pipe & Drum Band.  Kyle also helped the Wake & District Pipes & Drums out of Raleigh, NC get their start when the band formed in 2006.  Kyle continues to compete at Highland Games and has played for numerous high-visibility events as well as at Funerals, Weddings, and other parties and events.
